Open to advanced 6 year-olds, 7 and 8 year-olds, and 9 and 10 year-olds,
Yorkville Developmental Baseball is for young players who want eventually to play travel baseball. Games will be played Sundays on Randall’s Island. Each week, teams in the developmental league will play games against one another. Each team will have one professional coach, one practice per week, access to the Yorkville Baseball Academy. In short, the developmental league is pre-travel travel. It’s a prep season for serious young players who want all the resources of travel baseball without actually traveling. Emphasis will be on instruction and teaching fundamentals so young players have a foundation before trying out for the Yorkville Travel Baseball Program.

League Dates: September 8 – November 10, 2013 (All games/practices Sunday)

TWO DIVISIONS:
DIVISION 1 - 6, 7 & 8 year-olds
DIVISION 2 - 8, 9 & 10 year-olds

(The Yorkville Baseball Academy is located on the corner of East 106th St and 1st Avenue in PS 146. Enter on the 1st Ave. side of building.)

Cost for the program is $550 + $75 uniform fee.

Acknowledgement of Release Agreement and No-Refund Policy: By registering their child, a parent or guardian confirms they approve for him/her to participate in any and all activities of the Yorkville Youth Athletic Association ("Yorkville") and agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the institution. The parent/guardian assumes all risks and hazards incidental to such participation in these activities, and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the Yorkville Youth Athletic Association and it’s staff, the Board of Directors of the Yorkville Youth Athletic Association, officers and directors, the organizers, sponsors, supervisors, participants and all persons transporting the child/dependent to and from activities, from any claims arising out of an injury to the child/dependent, whether the result of negligence or for any other cause, except to the extent and in the amount covered by accident or liability insurance.

In addition, the parent or guardian acknowledges and agrees to Yorkville's policy of no refunds, no transfers, and no credits at any time for any program. Fees for applicants who drop-out will be considered a donation. Yorkville Youth Athletic Association is a c-503 non-profit organization that relies on your support.
